I think the whole perception that Democrats do not support small business due to increased taxes and social welfare programs is a main part. There is this general view that Democrats just want to take and redistribute. But, without programs like these, people throughout the U.S. would go starving. The government needs to look after the people, not disregard those who are less fortunate. Sometimes, they cannot help the circumstances they are in.
